Meet the Team
The GEB members found each other during a youth forum in Paris and set the first steps towards the idea of connecting Europe through cycling. At the end of an intensive week the project was presented to a professional evaluation board and won the first price for both its creativity and pragmatic approach.
Even though all 6 initial members are working and studying in different cities in Europe, their motivation and will to make this project a success already let to many visits and skype conversations, establishing the basic blueprint of the project and an already wide support among peers across 5 different countries. Learn more about these cycle maniacs in the short biographies below!

Egor is just a person, like you, he, she or anyone else. But he has a friend, which can unite a lot of people! This friend is a bike. Egor hopes that it is your friend too! Egor and biking have been together for a long time, and their friendship is incomparable with others! They went on a trip in the country of never ending fields - Belarus, they saw sunset on the rock coast of Atlantic ocean in Portugal and they rode many other beautiful roads and sometimes not even roads all over the world! A little Jewish girl from Ukraine has always felt this passion for biking. She and her older brother would make races and she always tried to be the fastest, though once it ended up with her hitting a ping pong table with her under eye and having a black eye for days. She didn’t quit. Neither did she give up her love for biking. Now studying European Affairs in Paris, she is willing to share her passion for cycling with the Greater Europe and the whole world! On the age of 4 little David was already racing around the neighborhood on his with side wheels equipped, brightly colored bike. Little could he know that his love for cycling would remain a leitmotiv through his studying life. His studies in political science, international relations and philosophy found him paddling through Prague, London and Budapest before settling down for a traineeship at the Representation of the European Commission in The Hague. David restlessly annoys others with his passion for both Europe and biking and secretly hopes Vlada will jump on the back of his bike once more during the project. Carole is putting into practice her European commitment by moving to Berlin this year. She opted for a Dutch bicycle as her daily companion, again to broaden her horizons? Compared to Paris, what a joy not to compete with buses and taxis on Berlin's bike lanes! Though having a reputation of being extremely ungifted when it comes to bicycle repair, she has always dreamed of following a historical bicycle road across Europe. Seeing diversity as the key value of successful projects, she warmly encourages anyone being interested or having hidden skills to come along! Olga is an 18 years old girl but most of the time she acts like 7. She studies maths yet it DOES NOT mean she is boring and creepy (well in fact it probably does) ! In her free time she enjoys biking or reading comments on forum of fandoms she is not even part of (told you she is weird). Most of the time she speaks of herself at the first person except when she is made to write some things about herself at the third (who had this wrong minded idea and why?) or simply when she wants because why not? She (here comes the soft speaking part) feels so lucky to be part of this whole thing and look forward to meet everyone this summer! Love! Until Bea moved to Madrid, Bea never even thought of getting a driving license since biking was always her means of transport. She once tried to complete the Route of Santiago de Compostela by bike with a friend, but they quitted at the 7th day not being able to move anymore after 300 km! Bea believes that at the end, simple things like music or sport can really bring us together and easily overcome boarders, and she is really excited about how communications, which is what she studied, can help to spread this kind of ideas and one day bring the world together, starting with the Greater Europe! Vlada was born in Nijni Novgorod (Russia). She used to bike on her tricycle while she was three years old. At the age of seven, she moved in France, where she met a perfect friend: Olga. They went biking together around Aix-en-Provence whenever they could. When Vlada obtained her scientific high school diploma, she moved to Brussels, for her architecture studies. On summer 2015, they met some amazing people from several european countries who shared their dream: to bike around the world, discover new cultures and meet fantastic people. That’s how it all started. A dream that they want to share with all of you! Take your seats, and let’s bike! |
